Tin Žanić graduated from the National Film and Television School (NFTS) with an MA in Fiction Directing in 2017 as a  Croatian Audio-Visual Centre scholar. Prior to NFTS he finished his BA studies in Film and Theatre Production in Zagreb. His first two short movies as author, Komba (2011) and Manjača (2014) both received awards and special mentions and were shown in A list Film Festivals, TV's and Film Markets such as; Rotterdam Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrnard, Tampere Film Festival, Sarajevo Film Festival, Hamburg film festival, Zagreb Film Festival etc.

In 2014 his debut feature film “Slavonia” was selected for two development workshops Sources2 and MidPoint. In the same year he was offered a place for MA study at NFTS.  In 2015 he worked for Constantin Entertainment as a TV director. Later that year he received the “Jelena Rajković” award from Croatian Directors Guild  for best film director under 30 years of age.
